SCIENTIFIC HIGHLIGHT 9
A new workflow led by IMPRESS scientists from ICN2 and CNR automates (S)TEM analysis and builds detailed 3D models that reveal how atomic-scale variations shape the behaviour of advanced materials.
EVENT
The second global Machine Learning for Microscopy Hackathon will take place from 16 to 18 December 2025 in a hybrid format, bringing together researchers, students, and professionals to collaboratively address real-world challenges where machine learning meets materials science and microscopy. Impress partner, ICN2 Barcelona, will host one of the on-site nodes where participants can join in person.
EVENT
From 24 to 26 November 2025, the IMPRESS consortium met in Düren, Germany, for its Annual Consortium Meeting, hosted by Forschungszentrum Jülich. Partners from across Europe - onsite and online - came together to review progress, exchange perspectives, and plan the next steps of the project.
