The IMPRESS Consortium has launched a quick survey to involve all stakeholders in defining user needs to expand the horizon of TEM.
A core aim of the IMPRESS project is to identify cutting-edge technologies to make TEMs more flexible, accessible and user-friendly. This can only be achieved by involving users and all other stakeholders in the research journey, listening to their needs and desired solutions to increase interoperability of TEM components.
To start creating this vibrant Community of Users, the IMPRESS Consortium has launched a quick survey on the EU Survey platform. The seven questions are very short and straightforward, and can be answered in just a few minutes. They have been designed to identify the main limitations in the use and development of TEM and related techniques, and to explore what technological improvements or instrumentation developments would help optimise the use of TEM.
The IMPRESS project is also focused on facilitating the design of flexible correlative workflows that can be used to link TEM with other advanced techniques. For this reason, one question explores multimodal approaches that would be valuable in combination with TEM to advance research in specific fields of application.
The deadline to take the quick survey and actively participate in the definition of functional requirements for the world of TEM is the 23rd of August.
