Multinational Congress on Microscopy

We are proud to announce that the IMPRESS project will be prominently featured at the 17th Multinational Congress on Microscopy (17MCM), taking place from 7 to 12 September 2025 in Portorož, Slovenia. This prestigious event unites leading academic scientists, researchers, students, and industry professionals to exchange knowledge and showcase cutting-edge advancements in microscopy.

As a key platform for fostering collaboration and innovation, 17MCM provides a unique opportunity to explore the latest developments in microscopy technologies and methodologies.

IMPRESS Special Session: Shaping the Future of Interoperable TEM

As part of the congress, IMPRESS has been granted the opportunity to host a dedicated session titled "IMPRESS Special Session: Shaping the Future of Interoperable TEM", scheduled for 11 September 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. This session will showcase the project’s progress and advances in instrumentation development. It will also highlight an innovative co-development model, which encourages companies and scientists to work together in a stimulating and collaborative environment.

During the event, experts from the IMPRESS project will present results, discuss challenges and explore new frontiers across the project’s main themes, including:

• Electron sources
• Adaptive optics and detectors
• In situ, operando and correlative experiments
• Software automation & remote control

The session will conclude with an open roundtable discussion, providing a valuable platform for participants to share perspectives, foster strategic discussions, and explore potential collaborations to shape the future of interoperable solutions in electron microscopy. 

All Congress participants will have the valuable opportunity to contribute to the event through poster submissions that are aligned with the project’s core concepts.
