Promoscience is an SME spin-off of SISSA–International School of Advanced Studies in Trieste, Italy.
It was founded in 2004 by a team of researchers specialised in exploring the requirements of the scientific community, perfecting knowledge transmission strategies, and developing adapted content management systems. The company develops innovative web-based software for sharing objectives, managing projects, and spreading results among scientific communities. It merges innovative thinking and highly creative design competencies with fundamental skills and techniques of science communication in order to provide research projects with original branding strategies. It has remarkable experience in information architecture design, as well as in creating attractive and user-friendly web portals.
Promoscience furthermore holds solid experience in the implementation of effective communication, dissemination, and exploitation plans in the framework of cooperative R&D projects at the international level, and has provided a considerable number of projects within FP6, FP7, and H2020 framework programs with its know-how, services, and tools.
In IMPRESS, Promoscience is the lead partner of work-package seven “Dissemination, Exploitation & Training”, supporting the project in particular in the field of communication and dissemination. Promoscience’s role is to ensure a wide awareness about IMPRESS among different target audiences potentially interested in its innovative platform, approaches and transformative technologies.
To reach this goal, Promoscience has developed IMPRESS’ visual identity, its website, takes care of IMPRESS’ social media and press relations and designs materials to better communicate IMPRESS’ scientific concepts to experts and non-experts alike.
